Swim: Main Pool

The 50m outdoor pool for all other categories is 1.2m at its shallowest meaning that many younger children will be unable to stand.

For Level 2 and 3 entrants will swim to the 25m point where there will be platforms to allow for resting Swim assistants will be in the water offering kickboards if necessary.

Level 4 and 5 will snake up and down the full length of the pool moving across the pool as they do so.

Swim: Learner Pool (all Level 1; optional for Level 2)

The shallow pool is a consistent 1m in depth and 15m in length

Junior Transition – Bikes for Levels 1 – 4 will be in the junior transition area which is behind the pools. Only entrants and designated assistants may enter transition zone Event officials will be on hand to help any entrant who needs it.

Transition is a one-way system – please follow the signs to avoid collisions with other participants. There will be always marshals in transition and we will reopen for bike collection after the last runner has departed. Please bring your race number to transition when you come to collect your bike.

Senior Transition – is situated separately and uses bike racks.

Further Information

SPOT PRIZE DRAW

The major spot prize draw is held at the Finish Line not before 11:45am. This does mean there is some down time between the junior events finishing and the draw.

TEAMS

There is a Teams category in the Senior Event only.

These can be teams of 2 or 3.

A team entry is a great team building exercise with your work-mates, or just a heap of fun with a group of friends.

AT THE FINISH LINE / RACE HQ

We’ll have music, food and refreshments available as you mingle and mix and get your group photos. Juniors – don’t forget to cheer on the seniors as they run past!

PARKING

All parking is on the field. Please follow the signs and the instructions of the parking marshals.

TOILETS

There are toilets outside the pools, inside the pools and near the finish area.

WATER STATIONS

There are no water stations on the junior course. It is expected that triathletes will have their own water in the transition area. There are very few water taps to refill bottles so please bring plenty. Water will be available at the finish.

DOGS

NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED ON IN THE POOL AREA NOR TRANSITION. Dogs are OK on a leash around the course after the event has started but if you have Fido around this area, please make sure he/she doesn’t stray onto the course onto the finishing straight, runners will be on a mission to get to the line.
